SPI/Carb/Baby XE wiring :(

Well il be putting in a X14XE and not sure if i can use my carb loom (from a 1.4 SR) or the loom that is in the car now (1.2 spi). I dont know how the baby xe wires into the car loom (im presuming its a case of just the dash ones, and ign live/perm etc) but i havnt had a chace to look at the spi loom? so how does that connect to the main car loom?

Hope i make sence - bit tired lol.

take ya glovebox out, disconnect the ecu, cut all the wires to the 2 big plugs, pull the harness through into the engine bay. youll be left with 9 wires iirc, these are clock feeds and stuff. either tap the 16v wires to these or run em across the dash to the fuse box, and fit the engine loom through the bulkhead at that side. id use the spi loom as the fuelpump wires and em light are already there. easy.
