Correct, the orange ones do taste of orange, they are the only ones that taste of anything other than chocolate & sugar coating.

I used to think the same then I thought I was crazy lol.

Maybe coz, and this is my explanation, they use the orange colourant which is extracted from an orange.

well considering that orange is the only colour in the rainbow that is also a fruit, I'd have to believe you, but I always swig smarties so I have never in 35ish years bothered to taste test a single one...


I am curious to know peoples views about sherbert fountains, I have always ripped the top, thrown the dead slug away & swigged it down in one followed by swilling cheap lemonade to get a huge belch.
