missfire

[GAZ 1.2 L]

hi my names gaz i have a 1.2 nova l. does any one know why my car misfires at 4500/5000rpm its really pissing me off i will be glad for any help

hrm - missfiring at high revs as opposed to lower revs could be down to bad fuelling but again any of the normail things to check apply

dizzy, rotor, leads, plugs, carb jets, hell it could even be the coil

I have a 1.2 merit - carbbed version - had a time when it got to about 60mph and it wouldnt go any faster - sounded like it was misfiring. Turned out to be the timeing had been retarded too much. Check dizzy, leads and timing.

Got some of that at work. Loads of different companies make it, should be in halfords or other car places, in cans labelled carb cleaner :lol:
