When you are driving it down the road and you knock it down a gear and boot it,it does smoke but ticking over and reving up it does not.

remarkable, considering that all 1.2 novas will run fine on unleaded from new, that's what the star '*' on the engine number means!!!!

I couldn't agree more, my original 1.0 g reg on 7800miles would not run right & burnt oil just like that, the valve seals were perished & I couldn't be bothered to fix it, so it did not last long till I ripped it out, the tyres also had cracks on the sidewalls

Antibes had either a bright red or bright blue carpet with the seat centers colourcoded to match, also had a mk1 spoiler and five speed box iirc!

From what I know, there were variations on them depending on the year as well. Not sure of the exact details though.
