16xe engines in vectra b's the same as corsa b's and mk3 astra ect as they look different?

I thought the vectra's didnt have 16xe i thought they came with x18xe


Anyway all the 16xe's are bassiclly the same. the main diffrence is the inlet manifolds. some are more restricted then others. for instance in the mk3 astra they are 100bhp and in the corsa they are 106bhp unless its the c16xe then its 110bhp

vectras came with the x16xel. basically the same but with a different inlet. i beleave it has been decided that the xel head is the best now tho

earl vec's and astra had same inlets...best thing would be is to study both and see what would benefit you, in terms of space and what you want to achieve, but most ditch them in favor of TB's anyway and wont make any odds.

Theres no way i could afford TB's so thats why i wonderd if the best thing would be a xel with c16 inlet? As i may be able to hold of a vectra with a 16xel for 150 quid?

Oh right the vectra is a complete car with engine ect but 50 is still cheap! i will add you on msn at some point for a good chinwag about it chap :thumb:

egr stuffs exhaust gas back into the engine inlet, aar aux air pump adds more air to the zorst, and fudges power. c16xe doesnt have either iirc
