I changed my spark plugs at the weekend, and one the threads has gone on the head?? The other three went in fine. Any one know how I can sort this out. I am loosing patience with my car big time.

Is it the one nearest the passenger side of the engine, cos that happened to me and I had to get my Dad to pull them out with a set of plyers!
Took 15 minutes!

I don't think you have quite grasped it mate, the plug falls throught the cylinder head.

Easy fix this. What you need is a helicoil insert, you tap the head out to a bigger size then wind in what looks like a coil spring made from square wire, you'll never have the problem again as the inserts are stronger than the old thread you puled out and you dont even need to remove the head. A kit to do the job yourself should be about ?20-30, or take the car to your nearest engine re-manufacturers.

The helicoil is the way to go, but if the damaga is to bad a new head may be in order--

Try a local nut & bolt supplier, also it's not unheard of for motor factors to have them
