help having problems with my 1.4sr engine

ive got a 1.4 sr engine with a 1.2 head on it.it still has to 1.2 cam in it at the moment so i am trying to use the black dizzy.i cant seem to get a spark.do i need to use the red dizzy and difo coil

wrong room mate - howver i would use the dizzy that cam off the 1.2 however i would of thought aslong as it was a carb 1.2 it should be exactly the same as the origional dizzy? Also just check that you have all the leads on correct and that the coil is working correctly have you got no spark at all?

use whatever dizzy came in your car, i had this problem, couldnt get a spark. does it have to be the 1.2 cam?
