the plan for today is to start on little bits.
iv now got my locking wheels nuts off so i can now put the valver brakes off my cav on the sr.
il get some pics up asap when i get out there and start lol
but this is how it looks now yes she is a mark 1 but has been attacked :cry:

well actually its a viper motorbike exhaust looks pretty good in person sounds amazing aswell when i get a heavy right foot lol
its welded on and it keeps it quiet as when i had a 4 inch box on it was way to loud

right not had much time to do anythink with the nova lately
but iv no aquired myself a 2.0 8v astra :thumb:
not sure wether its a 20ne or 20seh but its in a mk 3 astra cd
so im going to crack on and get the engine out of the nova and seem weld the engine bay and find all the hiden nasties and weld them up at the same time i will get on here and post some pics up of my progress soon

are you 100% thats a mk1 underneath, as ive had 2 h reg mk2's on early plates. and ffs take the kit off and burn it. but remember kids, this WAS cool 10 years ago, and lots had xe's in em, anyway good luck fella!

It feels like 1999 !! thats the publics vision of novas imo, however like most things it's got loads of potential ! hows the general condition of it ? and get some piccies of the front up, if i was yourself i would change the exhaust, put some novadose sideskirts on and give it a good tidy up, i would leave it bodykitted prob (depending on what the front looks like) as it's kind of a time warp, do like the colour though ! any ideas what it is ? best of luck anyhow.

erm its all been chopped about on the front end i.e wiring for the lights ect. so i guess it was a mk1 could be wrong tho. and cheers im cracking on with it all tomorrow and should be finished in a week or so depending on how it goes.

right iv got the whole front end off
started taking the engine components off
iv got the carboff and a few other little bits but nothing
major as only only had an hour at it
started a bit late but im aiming to have the 1.4 out tomorrow
then the welding begins :thumb:
iv also sourced a very cheap offside engine mount from jamie d from J.A.D.E performance up in northampton :thumb:
iv got some pics but my comp is crap so il get them up when i get on my mates laptop :thumb:
there not all that tho as there only phone pics
oh and my side skirt has half fell off :thumb: less bashing about at filler when i get round to bodywork lol

right bit more progress made today
iv got the engine out and the bay is just about cleared for welding aswell just a few little bits left
iv also attacked the side skirts aswell
the passenger side wing and skirt is off
and i found hidden nasties aswell
the bottom of the passenger side wing is gone the only thing that held it together was the side skirt and the filler were it was moulded to the body
afew rust holes here and there but nothing bad the engine bay has only got slight srface rust in the hideaway places but iv cleaned it all up and there are no holes so make very fast progress
and it started snowing aswell which wasnt to bad i was stil nice and warm with all my layers on lol
il get the pics up later on this evening when i get on my mates laptop not many as i was busy but a i still have a few

just been making some plates to weld in place of the rotten bits iv cut out
also been helping my mate every so often put my old engine in his nova so not much progress on gettin the engine in just really gettin the shell ready first before anythink else still waiting on the engine mount aswell so cant do much in that sense

yer it does mate but well not at the mo its in the boot lol took the loom out today and im going to start cutting it up sometime tonight and then welding the front and engine bay tomorrow hopefully i will get time to do the back end aswell needs a few plate in the boot etc

rite iv now got the front panels welded up and started seam welding only got a tad on before it got dark
just got to do a bit of cleaning today before i set to work as the bay is a tad dirty and has been sprayed black and its peeling off every were

but im going to buy a plating kit and the conversion mounts tonight as iv now got a bit of cash :thumb:
so as soon as they arrive im going to weld the plates on and sort the mounts out then finish the seam welding and drop the 20ne in :thumb:
hopefully should have it back together and looking sort of car-ish in a week or so

Seems a waste not do this project properly...a new slam panel would be first on my list,followed by rear arches.
By the amount of tin worm i think your mates where right in saying start again,but i know what you mean about saving another nova.

got a corsa shell coming with fk coil overs and spax rears
and pretty cheap
so il do that
then get a nova when money permits
