Well this just sums up the week I've had.

To sumarise -
I'm still getting over man flu since Monday (now have evil cough from HELL).
Boiler packed up on Monday so no hot water or heating, although on Wednesday I find out I have an emmersion heater in the tank (?) so have hot water all the time :roll: smelly boy!
Spray a model I was making for a girl the wrong colour and have to respray it quick time to get it finshed for today (which I managed WHOOP!)

and to crown the moment of glory...

I won a Compaq 360gb dual core desktop tower off ebay on Sunday for £175 (after my pc went all B.S.O.D) only for PARCEL FARCE to lose it!

:mad:

The guy posted in at local post office (12kg box - not exactly small!) via Parcel Force 48hr - they gave him tracking number and he sent me details.
Didnt arrive yesterday so I call him - he checks - turns out youre not supposed to leave things for Parcel Force at local Post offices as they use differernt tracking numebrs. So the Parcel force woman contacts the post office woman and they exchange tracking numbers and try and locate the package - which could be anywhere!
The Post Office have it scanned, have my address and gave it to Parcel Force Monday - apparantly. Parcel Force say their driver collected it but they now dont know where it is!

:eek::mad::confused::tard::cry:

In he meantime my currently PC has stopped going all B.S.O.D on my ass and instead keeps opening up some "your computer has a virus - download this antivirus pro thing" - I close it and my screen floods with pop ups!

Need to do safe reboot and deep scan me thinks - taken fecking AGES though!

GRRRRR

lmfao I was reading this thread and thought, that reply looks familiar... oh wait, I wrote it. Didn't clock the date on the thread lol

Avast, Malware Bytes, AVG (for on demand only), and there's another I use which I forget now. I've also used a whole host of specific tools. I seem to recall the virus Ade had required a lot of manual registry cleaning, always fun :d

As for pr0n giving you viruses, not always the case - I've been pr0ning on the interwebz for years and only once had a virus that required a rebuild (admittedly back then I was still a virus noob) and once given me more than 24hr downtime.

Also its wise to have either a dumb O/S; drive or bootable CD; I've got a couple spare old hard drives with windows installs, plus a run-from-CD Fedora Linux jobber (which has saved my dad's computer multiple times)
