Far from an uncommon conversion nowadays chap. Type R engine'd mini's are also a good one :D

The bike engine and type r engines are the way forward but very expensive kits to buy.

Check out z car's for mini's.

z cars are the way forward..

the c20xe engine is one of the best engine conversion's for the mini for performance/fun..

the vtech conversions are good (reliable and drivable) for more of an every day car..

my boss has got one of his mini's lying in my workshop, we are building that up, recently bought an a series with t3 turbo, but its getting sent to our local engine builders and they are going to get 140-150bhp out of it..not bad for a 1275 engine!

also have a few more mini's lying around us, i am planning on doing a vauxhall redtop conversion into a yellow shell..
