only rescently noticed this, its sucking in alot of air when the car is running. when i put i put my finger over this, the revs drop about 1000. am i right in saying that this should be connected the the end of the air filter, the hot air feed? and that i should just plug it up? help much appreciated

it idles fine with it blocked. but if its idling at about 1000 with that pipe NOT blocked, and i block it, the engine cuts out. sometimes it idles at 2000, sometimes 1500 and sometimes at 1000 lol

strange im sure iv blocked that up before and all has been well,
got haynes?
That should be connected via a small tube to the air filter box/housing.
So it wont be blocked.

not on me no. ill try blocking it up, running the car for a few days and see if anythings noticeably different, or worse.

If your using an after market filter, you need to block that hose off ;)

well its coming out just below the air filter, and no not connected to anything anymore. it was connected to the hot air feed on original air filter. i will just block it up, thats the right thing to do. cheers
