As some of you know when you dont mount them from the back of the gearbox. like its ment to like on the cavalier and calibre they tend to snap the bit off on the side. where people mount them on astra's corsa's and nova's. So im going to be making a rear solid alloy mount to mount to the rear of the box like its ment to. Here is one ck made for his astra mk3. they will be like this but obvious they will be abit diffrent shape to fit a nova

That would depend if I go for a F28 over a F20 but will probably be in the next 6 months or so. So I can't really say much at the mo.

But Im sure there will be much interest in this :thumb:

the corsa/nova one will more than likely be made out of sheet steel and have an integrated solid mount.

wont be anything like the billet alloy ones i had made for astra/cav/cal fwd use.

There is nothing wrong at all with mounting a F28 into a nova using the standard nova mount. Nothing ever snaps off them.

Agreed, i'm sure you might get an odd F28 that fails same as you probly do with F20's ... definatly not a common problem tho.

No i know its not a comon problem. tbh i dont think it has ever happend with a nova. but i know quite a few have had it snap from mounting on the side. And seen ck's after it happed and after that id just rather be safe then sorry. Seeing as ive got a good box and dont want to risk it being stuffed

as long as you tap the box to take the 3 bolts on the gear box will be fine, they tend to shear when people just use the 2 bolt holes on the std mount, leave the std mount un strengthened and it flex's.

strengthen the rear mount, use the 3 bolt holes it will be fine :D
