I have 2 sony 6x9's on my parcel shelf running of a SONY MDX-C7900R head unit. My problem is that when you position the Left/Right fader (on the rear speakers only) to the extremes there is bass, though when this is set to the middle there is no bass at all just medium to high frequencies.
This problem has only just happened and was producing bass when it was set to middle last week. How can this just switch like that?

Any ideas welcome.
Thanks.

solved the problem, 2 loose wires for the rear left speaker was loose, which i probably fiddled with when i was trying out a different solution at the weekend.

Thanks anyway.

Just need to sort a permenant solution to keeping them in.

Are ya using spade connectors? Get some if not and lightly use ya pliers to make em fit tighter to the connectors on 6*9's. If it's a wire in thing which screws in to grip the wire then ignore me :)

Also, sounds like you had em wired out of phase... i.e. you had a + going to a - so make sure you have + to + and - to - on both sides, then you wont get no loss of bass :)
