Started nova earlier, ran like it was firing on 3,kept trying to stall. Also checked the oil and theres bits of white in the oil but not a significant amount to be able to definately say its gone. The oil is very runny and is light black/grey colour.Water level has gone down a tiny bit.Am i right in thinking the gasket has blown?
Its a 13 Sr btw
All help/advice is appreciated:thumb:

will run on 3 from cold and then probably clear. Remove the spark plugs and check for any white deposits. A block test will reveal it postively if it has gone.

Cheers, like white oil deposits do you mean? The car isnt on the road so wont be able to get a block test.Is there any other symptoms/ways of telling?

A block tester is portable you know.

If you can get your hands on a compression tester thats the best way.

Ya need to get hold of a compression tester to check it properly mate, has dave or chance not got one you could borrow to try it bud?

Little mayo`ey bits in the oil are supposedly common for a long standing engine that has only been started/run for short periods apparently?

Theres more on the underside of the cap than anywhere else, little bits on dipstick in places.

That's most probably condensation mate. Happens when the engine warms and cools from short journeys or just a start up and switch off. The condensation mixes with the oil and goes white like the mayo you are describing.

If the mayo is still there from frequent long runs so the engine gets hot then you can say its ilkely to be HG.

Check leads and dizzy, check earths, WD40 on leads etc to get any moisture off. Get a compression test done only way to tell if its the HG.
