Someone told me today that my car would fail the mot if it has been dehandled on both doors, is this correct?

I've heard a similar thing. In order to pass an MOT you have to be able to open all doors from both sides.

I don't think this true, becasue of all the cars without handles out there.

All doors have to be able to be open from inside and out.

Obviously this is true if you want to get in and out anyway! No point in de-handling if you can't get in is it!?

The method is irrelevant. Buttons, alarm key fob, wire hanging out or whatever.

if you de-handle both doors, they have 2 beable to be opened with a mechanical device on the car itself!! eg a switch on the wing mirror!! not thru an alarm key fob, if you do decide to do it that way you will have 2 atach a piece ov wire or string for the mot, unless ov course if you best m8 or his aunts pet bugie does ur mot!!
