i was doing a little brousing of the web today for some bits for my nova and i come across this little number and as far as i can see it has to be the most mint nova on the market and was thinking of buying it and using my car as a doner for the engine and other bits.
i dont think any1 will have seen this for sale or even thought of finding it the same way i did. for weeks ive been on ebay and autotrader looking for a sensable car but they all seem to be rust buckets or need a considerable amount of tlc to finish them. (arches, boot floor seals and the other usual rusty places.) this has never had any work done on it and has always been maintain. apart from needing a t-cut the body is sound and by the looks of it so is the engine. let me know weather you think it is worth buying.

left hookers are nowhere near as bad as people make out. I have a left hand drive mk1 golf cabriolet and it is awesome to drive, I actually prefer it to rhd. it just feels like I am sat in the right place.

Mine was imported from france too.

First one is not mint. Engine bay is rusty (look under the coil and expansion tank, also rust on the slam panel), headlamps are gone, plus there's no pics of other usual rust areas.

Another case of PNG's most over used word........mint

It does look clean, granted & ripe for modding but it aint the mintest & doubtfull worth a trip to Germany for.

I note the fr wipers are opposite to UK spec & it has no rear wiper.

Needs a single wiper then, no rear wiper FTW

Looks good but is a long way away.

South of france as pre the pics on mig a while back.

Cant see why the wipers being on that side would be a prob, would still wipe the "A" zone on the screen to pass the mot... Look wicked too.

Wipers are the opposite way round as its a left hooker lol

Looks like its been stood in the sun for a long time and been unloved hence the headlights being black, it doesnt look particularly tidy at all to me really!

I know that, read what i said. I said i cant see it being a prob.

Ahh right i see, but having said that it wouldnt be a prob if it were a right hooker with those wipers as the renault clio II has oppsite wipers and they all clear enough of the screen to pass mot:thumb:

Jack

I shouldn't worry lads, even on the wrong side they'll still sweep enough of the screen to pass an MOT

Benn
16-12-08, 08:42 PM
lol theres all ways one.

Why is it allways you? lol

Er, my first Nova was a Mk2 and had a manual choke...

However, the windscreen wipers were the right way round on my Mk2. I'm sure that shouldn't be a problem though.

It is a problem if the water is swept onto the drivers side of the screen.
It happened when I worked at Nissan. Some RHD stuff went out with LHD wipers and people found it hard to see lol

Humm my Miss's mums Clio is a 05 plate and the wipers work on that in a l/h drive swipe, i drove it from Scun-thorp all the way down to Stratford on Avon Warwickshire and used the wipers a few time, didn't bother me once! :wtf:

does it matter what way round they are. what i was basically trying to say is is it worth buying a euro nova because they tend to be cheaper and the shells tend to be in better condition. not what way rounf the wipers are. thats something that can be changed anyway.
