just got myself an astra 1.6i on a n plate the other day. the engine management light has just decided to come on along with the seat belt light i think (its the bottom right of the dash and a red backlight on it). whenever i turn the heaters on full the lights go out and also when i am sat still just letting the car idle. whenever i move though the lights come back on :wtf: anyone got any ideas?????

if your sitting idle and pull the seat belt does the light come on.

not that i have noticed. would that have anything to do with the engine management light being on?

it might have a sensor on the seat belt tentioner that might send a fault code to the ecu.

ah will go out and have a nosey and see what it does :D

if only i had a paper clip i would have flashed the fault codes up :(

just been out and had a good pull on the seat belts and nothing changed. the lights all stayed off till i got the revs up then they came back on. let the revs drop back down and after a few seconds lights go back off again

best bet is to try and see if there is any fault codes first to save a headache.
