I want to flare my arches on my 2 door saloon but im unsure of how to go about it? Ive seen Austins thread but still dont really understand how it is done or is there another way of going about it?
Any help appreciated
Cut into the arch lip, all the way round, about an inch apart. Fold these "fins" out, weld a new strip of metal over the top.
Instant flared arches ;)

Is that the most common way to do it? Would it look good once finished?

I've just dropped mine off a my local sheet metal place. So will be interesting to see how he does it. I think he's planning on shaping/stretching the metal rather than cutting.

i done it once by useing a hammer and block, flatening the metal out and making it wider!!

a set of forest arches from a mk2 escort should fit, and it would be different too..:confused::thumb:
