good day alround, a real shame that will foy wasnt allowed on track even with an enclosed air box still was over 100db and only managed 4 laps all day
my brothers little nova was flying round must have done 30 laps maybe more, even with a snapped gear linkage half way through olly hewitt finding a welder and within 10 monutes it was fixed and he was back out!
great day roll on the next one my nova may be there then :)

i did laugh to myself when he came running back up saying " get it off get it off i have a welder, i didint think any body wouldve had a welder"
i had the joyus task of driving it home afterwards, while he slept in the van be driven by will.
i havent driven it in a while was very impressed :)
sounds like a great day had by all. are you gonna do a report for us oly?

In brief, Olly was faster.:thumb:
Was an awesome day out, good to meet some new faces(jonlem, gav, lee(jonlems mate) etc), and good to meet the usual suspects. Everyones car went well indeed, shame about will's being over the sound limit, so bit of a wasted journey for him. Rexys Clio was quite impressive, went very well, and handled well too(even on std suspension), good stuff :thumb:

I never saw senna race there in 1993 (his best ever first lap ever) but I did watch the Sauber mercs there back in the days of the World Sportscar Championship, it makes the hairs on my neck stand up just thinking about it.
I really need to do a track day there before they wreck the circuit for the gp, unless the old layout is going to survive for national events

Oli Oli Oli, I can't believe you gave up on that argument so easily! lol All I will say is the car wasn't pushed to the limits as when it was mr black flag was waved because of the noise limit, so the banter should continue! I was impressed with small block power (but not converted:p )lol lol
Wicked day, good to meet Nathan, Rexy, Chris, Will, Gary, and skidmarkz (didnt catch your name) and good to see the usual suspects too!

it was a good day today i enjoyed it a lot. hopefully next time i'll bring my clio along then its not just rexy fighting for the clio team :)
There were some very impressive nova's there today and that orange one sounded amazing

Just had a quick look back at my vids, and i was doing about 95mph when the back end stepped out at the bottom of Craner curves :eek: lol lol
Managed to get it back straight again but was all ready on the grass and locked up sliding towards the gravel. It seems by the time i reached the gravel though i was only doing about 20-30mph, it seemed much quicker at the time lol, hence why the car was totally undamaged luckily :D
In the pits before that session i did mention to Olly H that id never actually had an off on track yet(not when driving anyway) :roll: lol

Was a brilliant day guys.
Nice to finally meet a few more members :thumb:
Its was very, very slippy this morning. I had loads of lairy sideways moments :eek: but luckly enough they was all controlable and i never had an off. After dinner the track seemed to be alot dryer, with a dry racing line the nova seemed handle fantastic.
All in all a great day, can't wait till the next one

104-108db i think he was clocked at at various points around the circuit
Cheers Dar - after I fitted NooNoo (sealed air box) it dropped to 101 apparently so it was def the zorst, as it felt much quieter in the cabin.
I am certain that at leat 3 other cars were louder than mine - deffo the orange XE on TBs lol
Ah well - I am not THAT bothered, as I have never had a proper drive-by sound test, so it had to happen at some stage I spose!

The induction noise out off carbs or TB's although making a right old racket don't affect the db testing anywhere near as much the low register zorst note.

Sorry for going slightly ot but does it make much difference to the noise and performance? Too scared to run mine without the filter so don't know! lol

To make matters worse the Marshalls hadn't been used for 5 years and the Champeros were a semi slick lol

I used to have Champro's on the front of the XE nova I had and they were rubbish in the wet/damp, understear and sliding all the way.
My mate has Marshall's on his pug and spun out yesterday in the wet.
So next time, DON'T lol.
Those tyres were definently dodgy, was quite amusing following the tigra, the back end just kept breaking away, even just cruising around corners lol

its louder int he cab and i think you get a tiny bit more torque, i left my filter at home or i would have had it on, i did borrow DHDEV filter for a few sessions but then decided i would forget to give it back so i took it off and handed it back lol!
The tigra was always a giggle to follow, the siting laps were very entertaing :)
