There was a white nova let featured in total vauxhall a while ago running a ford sierra loom

since most of the cossie management has been well hacked to be used as an aftermarket unit, I cant see it as an impossibility, but its not going to add the pub bhp that you would assume "cossie" bits would add lol

Aye, LET's have been run on Cossie management. Nothing new there.
Infact the ebay/turquoise Nova that was in the classified ads for £25k & featured in TV has Cossie management IIRC.

a pal of mine used to have a wide arched green mk2 astra gte with a LET and cossie managment.

So yes I have seen it with my own eyes, it is possible.

It is a lot of work to put the management on tbh.

For far less work & a similar final outlay, just get a proper standalone management system & get it mapped. The Cossie stuff will need remapping to run, plus you have to swap things like TB & sensors to get the management on there before even getting it running.

The Blue Print Astra used to run Cossie management IIRC. That was the 1st place I ever saw it done.

Agree with the above,

My Omex cost me about £1500 or so to get on, and is absoloutely spot on.

It's oodles of work fitting it to an RS.

Agree it's capable of running a high power LET, but thats no great achievement.

Unless you are going over 300bhp the phase/evo chips are known as being the best method in terms of value etc. £1500 for OMEX or similar is a logical next step. I reckon it would cost almost that just bolting the Cossie stuff on & working it out. Though if all the bits are on the bench then it will cost much less but still far too much hassle plus no backup when questions need answering.

It is doable, but you would need a fantastic reason(s) for doing it.

£1500 was with new Ford Siemens Dispack, New 3 bar map sensor, ne magnecore leads, the blanking palte and bracket from SBD for the coilpack, all wiring done, mapping, petrol for mapping, buying a premade loom from Omex, new sensors etc.

Bearing in mind you can then sell the LET ECU, loom, coil, dizzy, AFM, etc etc for about £400.

Just over a grand ain't bad going at al IMO.

^ yeah but TBH if you were ever going to run a Magnetti Marrelli ECU on a LET, you'd be stupid not to opt for a Pectel P8 board & 8 injector WRC/RS500 plenum. Anything else is just a waste really.

EDIT: Doh, aimed @ post #19
