when i was looking at mine the other day i noticed i dont have any. was it only the older ones that didnt have this? mines an '85 GL and i believe, built in spain

Early ones didnt have side repeaters :) Mines also got a made in spain sticker on the windscreen, A reg base model

had a look at the chassis plate thing and look on 'web and it came up as spanish. i did think novas weremadein spain

Yep in the project theard theres a Spanish nova build members name is zeifer33 iirc.

they manufactured them in Spain for the left hand drive market aswell as right hand drive i believe

some were most definetly manufactured in Britain.

Think they had them from 86 D onwards IIRC. Mine is a 85 and dont have any.

I think most Nova's were made in Spain. Check your VIN Plate and the first few letters on it will correspond to where it was made. You can cross reference them on site below.

All where made in spin, but very early A,B and some early Cs where made with better britsh steel hence why they rust less.

Early C hmmm.. mine is August 85 which would be early. Thinking about it if mine is made with British steel and has rusted, I wouldnt wanna see the devastation it would have caused if it was Spanish steel :eek:

Then again mine was left in the cold, wind, rain and snow for 4 years with no car cover :cry:.

Dont blame me blame the parents for not clearing the garage and I was only 15.

The spanish stuff was a much lower grade in qualty. If the early ones where looked after then they will be rot free, like Rich M's, Count vaux's, Dec's.

the majority of novas (99%) were made in spain iirc, they were all manufactured at the Zaragonda plant in spain, if yours doesnt have a made in spain sticker its probabley because its either had its windscreen replaced of a previous owners removed it. ive never heard of any novas made in the uk o nly in Zaragonda, i think Steves (duick's) website opel-corsa-a.com says that they were all made in spain :thumb:
