Hi guys, i have an old 8mm sony video camera, which is still excellent, and i have loads of old family stuff on it.
Is there any way i can upload it to my pc, so i can burn a dvd off? I'm running vista.
I know funk all about anything technological, so any help greatly appreciated!:thumb:

You would need some form in video input card fitted to your put, that could take analogue video and audio inputs(from the vid camera)

Or a standalone dvd recorder will do it....

Cool, i have all the leads upstairs somewhere, think there's an rca adapter, but thats about it.
Unfortunately i don't have a dvd recorder, might look into buying one though. What sort of money do they fetch?

YOu can pick them up for about 60-70quid new.
Just connects to your tv like a normal dvd player, but has inputs so you can burn stuff straight onto disc.

It depends what software it comes with.

This (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pinnacle-Dazzle-DVD-Recorder-USB-Video-Capture-Box_W0QQitemZ300279130457QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Com puting_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards _TW?hash=item300279130457&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1300%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318) will do the job, comes with its own capture software but will work with windows movie maker aswell incase you want to tinker with the footage.
