just out of intrest i was thinking of turning my sr hatch in to a pick up and was wonderin what sort of work is involved. not just as simple as choppin the roof off lol

ps. it is a crap pickup. take a 4 door pickup off the road & mod that. the result is far better. search the pvs photos from last year, there is a pickup on there that is very well done

it is surprisingly easy to chop the rear roof section off a nova hatch & the structure needs only minor work & an astra mk2 estate hatch to make the rear screen.

in my opinion, it just looks crap.

You could spend the time and money on much better things! I chopped the entire roof off a corsa once for the hell of it as I was very bored and needed to get rid of the shell. I think I had the B and C pillars and the roof off within 5-10 minutes... then I started regretting my actions!
