/\ what he said. Saying that will this damage the metal (alloy?)
Ive done this many times for various people on here...... Get a quality paint stripper, brush it on and leave it to do its thing, Then simply wipe it all off into the bin. A quick prep and it will be the perfect base to start from for painting, polishing or chroming etc. Paint stripper will not damage any metal/alloy surface.
^ What he said. Nitromorse is fine, stings when it touches skin though lol

Polishing, various grades of wet and dry. Starting with a coar5e grit and working up to a fine grit. Some autosol should help aswell, with a buff and abit of elbow grease.

Use a buffer wheel & polishing soap to mirror polish ally.
Autosol is abrasive & crap for ally.

Attatchment for drill/angle grinder. Takes the elbow grease element out lol
You ever used an acid bath before chap? It'll dissolve or serious scorch alloy aswell BTW.
