Hello im looking into getting my nova changed over from a 1.3 to a 2.0 16v. ive been looking on google after typing in vauxhall engine coversions and its come up with the likes of courtenay sport, V tunning and and this one on ebay called mcd conversions. theres lots of others but they dont really give me a round about price. also im after a good service i dont want to take it to a back street garage where only half a job gets done. i was thinking of jamsport may be ??? anyway any advice on the matter of cost and a good job ill be glad of.

Ive already got 256mm brakes on it and its lowered, the shells quite clean too. im saving at the min because its going to be painted after xmas then im going to get it converted ive added the address for mcd for you all to have a look at

Thanks very much huffy :thumb:

It will cost a fortune to be done by any setup like MCD or Jamsport. As said you're better off getting a local member to help you out for some beer money.

Id be happy to do it but you are pretty far away.

Fook paying some one to do it! Only way to garantee a good, well managed installation is to DIY it. You'll certainly a thing or two in the process aswell.

Dont tar everyone with the same brush pal, you have to give some people the benefit of the doubt. :)

EDIT you'll be lucky to get it done for 1500 including the welding IMO from any of the setups you mentioned.

Ive done a big block conversion and I have no skill.

Just print off a step by step guide, get some poor fook the seam weld it up, plonk the engine in, bla bla bla.

If you want a decent wiring job get some other fooker to do that.

Not as hard as u think

Does we involve me? If so I think it would be big block conversion number 19 for me

Imo if you don't do it yourself or play a big part in the conversion, the first time it goes wrong you'll be knackered. If you done it step by step and it does go wrong you'll know exactly where to start looking for a fault and how your going to fix it. When I did my first one I was convinced it was never going to work because my experience with engines was next to nothing but once it was complete and operational I was over the moon. If you pay someone to do it, you'll have no knowledge and will be scared of breaking it, and constantly worried what its going to cost to repair it and there is no point in doing the conversion if your not going to drive it hard occasionally
