this woman where i work was looking for a car for her son, she got loads of info about novas from me, and other cars off autotrader, he didnt wanna be a 'nova boy' so he didnt want a nova, he wanted a civic, do it up and be a bad-ass, like all the pakistani's in sheffield
He said he deff didnt want a fiesta, he's a bit picky aint he. he's 17 and just past his test.
anyway, his dad went out and brought him a metro, i think thats right funny! serves him right for dissing novas, gimp.

I inherrited my first car - Dad's uncle died (only met the guy once) and he left me his car - A lovely yellow D reg nova, mint condition, only 30k on the clock when it was 11 years old... Sorted.

I still have it - it is the rotting heap of yellow and brown behind my place - can't find time to do anything with it and can't bring myself to sell it... think i will keep it and pass it onto my kids :D

All my parents gave me was a card saying

Behind my place there is a Yellow (with brown rust trim) 1.2 merit with a few cosmetic problems and some stupid little engine stuff to sort out (no time).
Also there is my 1.3L 5 door - which i only got as a temporary thing for about 50 quid... someone broke into it and snapped the steering column off in the process and i never touched it since...

I drive the clio because I got sick and tired of my cars breaking down and getting broken into... the clio has been left alone because it's not quite so easy to get into and not as "boy racer" esque for the thieving young scum to notice it.

So the simple answer is - I want a reliable car for work, and I am gonna get myself a decent nova as soon as i have the spare cash to use on weekends etc.

I have some plans for the 1.2 merit as soon as i have some spare cash and a bit more time.

The 5 door will be scrapped in the end, but not before i steal a few things from the engine bay that I need for the merit.

It's not gonna be a show winner or anything when it is done, but it will be different... and that's all I have ever wanted for it.

Moslty interior work... Don't wanna give too much away about it - but I love the idea of it - haha - it's so stupid. It was an idea born when a mate of mine who has no interest in cars at all an me were sat at my place getting drunk quite happily when he suddenly said - why don't you do this to your car, and explained what he meant... so being half cut i decided this was a good idea - and have been wanting to do it ever since.
Doesn't involve too much money, or too much work I don't think...

once i have the interior stuff done i will get some pics put on here obviously... and then do something with the outside, soemthing simple, lower it 35mm and chuck some cheap 14" alloys on or something so make it look a bit smarter... but it is all about being inside it really. That's where i spend most of my time with it if i am driving it - so thats what i am gonna mod :D

Guy i know had a 1.0 205, not a great car but as first cars go, not bad. Eventually he wrote it off, so his rich parents decided in order to keep him safe they'd but him another car, this time with airbags.

They let him decide, the result, Corsa GSi. How much safer is he?

lol.....i hadda 903cc Fiat Uno which i made up2 look like a Uno Turbo mmmm woz lookin sweet (well as sweet as Uno's can look lol) un then sum fecker nicked me 15" alloys....(n i had 2 lockin nutz on each alloy! ! ! f*ckers) From that day on it all went down hill....blew the mighty 903cc FIRE engine up while pissin bout in a muddy field doh....then after i upgraded 2 the massively powerful 1.1 engine i lent it out 2 me sister for the night....don't wanna b sexist un say female drivers are sh*t but she managed 2 crash into 4 cars un then into the back of a piggy car all in the space of 50meters! ! ! But spose if she haddn't fecked it up i wouldn't have me Nova's now eh :multi:

I paid for my own car, then thought "oooh i've got money left over" so i brought sr wheels and bumper and an exhaust etc. then realised i'd just spent my insurance money. So my nans lent me the money for my insurance.

well i had to pay for my own lessons, aprents paid for tests, and lent me some money towards my nova, and the grand i got from my write off i got exhausts, wheels, engine mods, and other stuff! so glad i got a nova, i'd deffinetly get another, just faster!

I am gonna get another in about 12 months hopefully... wanna get an SRi or GSi this time - none of this farting about with slower cars - gonna get something that shifts this time, get a good alarm on it, buy one of them car covers and keep it on my mums drive and only use it at weekends. Then again, i could keep it in my matesgarage that he doesn't use i suppose, and his place is lower risk area than mums anyway.

little did he know my girls dad was loaded,so paid for the feul,and i got it insurance with a land rover company for 900 sumfing quid 3f&T.
which i though was good.
god i giot so many memoirs of that car.....................well more of the back seat,
sadly it failed dure to chassis rot,
il weld it.................................... 1 day.................i hope
