I have only been driving for 6 months but I am getting very tired of my 1.0 and desperately want a 1.4 or 1.6 16v, however I dont think I will be able to insure it till i have one years no claims???

Has anyone got any idea what company to check for insurance/the cost for insurance???

I am 23 live in a decent area, and the car is garaged.

Can you not manage another few months with the 1.0?

Seems crazy you must have a slightly quicker car at whatever cost.

There is one decent area trust me lol there is like 3 decent streets where i live probably PR7 is considered poo tho lol

Tried a quote from HIC at weekend not got back to me yet, if I can get it around a grandish will do it much more and I will wait for 1 yrs ncb

Fingers crossed

so you are prepared to throw 6 months of driving away , and then have to wait for another 12 months to get you ncb , just stick it out with current insurance or pay the difference that they want for the next 6 month , you will be in a better postion then

Just put up with the 1.0 for another six months then enjoy the benefits of a years NCB. Why rush to get a bigger engine, which you will stand a higher risk of crashing as not being used to the extra cc's IMO.

That is a point might stick with the 1.0 for now no way of getting my insurance changed to a 1.4/1.6 with marks n sparks (current insurer) might wait for 1 years ncb and get a 2.0 8v in.........how easy to turbo/supercharge are they???:)
