And some paints and underseal

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk103/novanath/DSC00247.jpg
Good to see a 'loon receiving a track prepping treatment. :)

BTW what's with the propstick in the upper left corner in the Hammerite pic? Broken bones or something?

<Slightly OT>
I recently learned something about broken bones...
http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff333/nova_niek/niek/broken%20leg%202008/gebroken_been_2_klein.jpg

Fortunately they sorted it with a strip of mirror polished surgical quality stainless steel and a handful of torx screws. Pity it's to stay inside my leg indefinitely, otherwise I'd use it to tart up the old Nova a wee bit. Would make a nice alternator bracket or something.
http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff333/nova_niek/niek/broken%20leg%202008/gebroken_been_1_klein.jpg

I got to choose from 5 colours (red, blue, pink, white or black). I thought Red would do nicely.

</slightly OT>

Have fun modding the saloon, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Where You Get Loon Polycarbs From ??

General Lee
07-12-08, 04:11 PM
nica one, very off topic but nice one,my little brother had a club foot when he was born just now having it operated on.

The polycarbs are from a hatch, the two rear qauters i can just trim down but not sure about the rear one yet, i think i might have to just buy some 5mm polycarbonate off ebay and trim it down to size.

Quick update, i have souced a safety devices 6 point roll-cage. I have stripped the insides out all thats left is the roof lining and all the unwanted metal, i have took the wings off to do all the underseal and easier access to the hubs for a good clean up.

Rite i have undresealed the front two arches and put the bigger brakes and brake lines on, but when it came to bleed them air did not stop comming out. I also got all the sound deadening up and the foam padding out. I also put the rear windows back in. How long do you usually have to bleed the brakes for bearing in mind i have changed the brake lines?

I think you've got the calipers on the wrong side. afaik the bleed nipple should be at the top not the bottom.

What they said, plus the hoses look quite short. I appreciate the suspension is at full travel but you should still be able to get full lock without putting the hoses under tension?

Nice saloon though, will make a lovely track car :)

Not, updated this in a while, so here is where im up to at the moment. She is nearly finished, but im going to put her on the road so i can test the car sort a speak.

Corrected the brake problem and they bled fine, and turned the brake line the right way so they had enough play.

Dry fitted the roll cage too and put some interior back in to see how it looks.
