Sold some avo rear coilovers on ebay. The buyer is now saying that one is leaking. Does anyone know where I can get a service kit as I don't really wanna give the kid a full refund.
Cheers :thumb:

How long ago did you sell them? Has he sent you pics of the leak?
Would AVO themselves sell kits? Or will the unit need replacing if they are sealed units??

There was pics on ebay and they wern't leaking when I sold them afaik.
Sold them last week, no pics of the leak. Its only 51 quid but thats not the point. I'm brassic lol
£50 per shock refurb from Avo...
I agree with Baxter 'Sold as seen'. He could have easily fitted them, wound them right up and gone for a blast and killed them himself.

TBH i'd take the "sold as seen" approach. They were not leaking when you sold them, so its the buyers problem. Whats the worse he can do? The transaction has been completed, i.e.feedback left ect so its a done deal IMO.

you quoted
There are no visible leaks or issues with these shocks
so it is sold as seen and for the price of £52 the person has to except that was a realistic assessment.

ive replied to him by saying that you can get seal kits for around £50 and offered half the cash to do it because I can't prove to him they weren't leaking even though they wasn't and he cant prove to me they are so I guess fairs fair.
He wants a full refund though
Just wondering if I can claim on my Royal Fail Parcels 48
hendrix

Ive emailed him back offering half the cash for a seal kit as I'm trying to be fair, he can't prove they are leaking and I can't prove they weren't leaking when I sent them even though I know they were fine.
He wants a refund and thinks I can't claim on Parcels 48 by Royal Mail as he has 'reeseaved' the goods.
Can I claim on that tarriff??

ffs he still wants a refund lol
well if you feel bad tell him if he pays for the postage to send them back to you, you will give a refund as you havent got to refund any postage even if he was intited (sp) for a refund
but if it was me id say keep filling them up then what do you want for £50
hendrix
08-12-08, 07:52 PM
I offered to pay for half towards a seal kit as a gesture of goodwill but he's bein a scrote lol
well how did he pay, did he pay by paypal? if not tell him to do one
hendrix
08-12-08, 07:55 PM
by cheque
areofall
08-12-08, 07:58 PM
by cheque
If he's paid with cheque, end off, if it was paypal he could get a full refund and paypal would take the money off you, you've been fair offering him 1/2 of the seal price.
he hasnt got anything to fall back on then, just say no and thats it. he got them cheep enough. i would of paid that just so i can put them on the back while i turret the rears!
Stop being so nice lol
