Power output?

Roughly what bhp would i be looking at getting from a 1.4sr running a weber 32/34carb, ashley centre section with irmscher backbox. Getting it set up on rollin' road next week, just curious what i'll get.:)

as the engine will be old and tired I really would be shocked to see it putting out more than book/list figures (if it does the RR is talking poo lol

Aha, that really is crap. Will do for now I guess. What's the potential of these engines? With a fresh rebuild and maybe twin carbs, along with cams etc., is there a chance of decent power output and performance figures?

well built/setup 1400's often see about 105-120bhp

What figures would a good 120bhp setup gimme down the strip? Is it worth putting all that effort into the 1.4 8v?

Well, thats the big question of modding ANY small engine

120hp 1.4 will only do mid-high 15s

iirc benji managed a high 14 with his 1.4 that wasnt tuned to the limit...
