Bought an OMP strut brace of ebay cheap but there was no picture and all it said was that it was for a NOVA. i asked the bloke who was selling it if it was 4 a NOVA or a NOVA GTE and he didn't know. thought what the hell buy it. guess what? Its for a NOVA GTE. As much as i would love 1 i don't have a GTE. My question is is there anyway of making it fit. it does fit just rubs badly on my air box. Answers???

if you have a dustbin lid air box then you could get a K&n air filter, but more money out lol,

ıf it didnt do anything I doubt people would stick one on there for looks and add more weight to the car.

The strutbrace helps to keep suspension geometry and lessen chassis flex to a certain degree. True its not going to eliminate it 100% but still aids in reducing it.

Will have a look at the link thanks.

OK mate I have had a look at the brace. From what I can tell from the pic the actual bar is fixed further back on the turret plates. Im assuming this is for the brace to sit closer to the firewall so that it clears the throttlebody / inlet of the injected models.

If you compare it to my one which is a non GTE / GSi model the brace is fixed onto its plates in the center.

My bad, looks like you have tried fitting it already.

yeah have tried to fit it and it clears the firewall no problem but it is the airbox it can't get over. i have the standard airbox so i think the onlyway is to buy a K&N.
