hunting about 1500rpm

hi folks my c20xe nova hunts a bit its when you reach 1500rpm mark and hold it there its like kangroo pertrol i can dip the cluth and hold it there you can see the digi rev conter going up and down abit any ideas cheers.

presuming your not going on just the rev gauge, as from my experiance my digi was a bit iffy.

I would start by flashing the ECU fault codes.

no you can hear the enginemate.

Idle control valve needs cleaning/renewing.... good luck, its under the inlet manifold at the back of the bay :D

Mine used to do this really badly especially in traffic, a power cap cured mine, presuming its the same thing

was going to buy a power cap but only problem i have is my jet for the nos goes into the bottom of the black box. could it just go on to the powercap then cheers.

Cant see how a power cap will solve it unless you have an air leak around the sfi box, most likely to be the idle control vavle sticking.

Get another for it, give it a good clean out with brake/carb cleaner before you fit it.
