Hotmail problem :(

I haven't been able to check my mail for 2 days now.
I always had the boxes for 'Remember me' and 'Remember my password' ticked, so usually just press 'sign in'.
Then when I tried to sign in it gave me error code 80048823.
I've entered my password and tried every other password I've ever used and it's just not working. Then it tells me to enter my location and first pet's name for the security questions, I know the answers are correct but it says incorrect information entered.
I never made an alternative email address so they can't send me the reset information. I just don't know how to get in touch with them and I have mails I really need. Help anyone, please? :confused:

Hmmm, I did a full system scan yesterday but it came up with nothing at all.

go on msn messenger and check them through there, thats what i do

you havent upgraded or changed any settings to your adsl router since the probs started have you ?

i had probs a bit back like this with the dsl router here, as it had its settings changed from dynamic ip to pppoe or something similar.
google ' web messenger ', if u can connect to that page, there shouldnt be a prob with the router connecting to the msn service, problem must lie somewhere else. i dont wanna put a downer on it, but sounds like you may have been one of the random unlucky ones and your account may have been hacked and passwords reset. hopefully isnt the case tho.

Errr MSN or hotmail? Different things...

Router settings won't make a difference to hotmail (but CAN to MSN). If its your router thats screwing something up then it should be gving problems to the whole web, not just hotmail.

If its a password issue though (which it seems to be), neither will work.

Im sure this happened to me before,i got mad and then forgot about it.Next time i went to sign in it worked.Was a fair few days after though

hey i had the same problem just a few weeks ago somebody changed my password as there had been an email going about telling you how to hack msn bebo etc if your hotmail is registerd to your bebo if you have one try going throught that
