Getting really annoyed now, its been clear all day. Not a cloud about, then the minute the sun goes down they come from no where. Was hoping to spend a night using the telescope. Ive been waiting for weeks, the clouds are just laughing at me.
I reckon its due to the power station a few miles, its churning out so much water vapour its a joke.
So im sat here looking at the satellite images in my office, looks like I may as well go home now. All I can say is the damn 45 inch of snow they are banging on about better be worth it. As if its like the normal 10 mins of snow that melts straight away im throwing my computer out the window.
Phil, Phil, Phil. Do you not realise this is all down to people in london driving Posrche Cayennes? At least when the ice caps melt and half the country floods you could mod the telescope to use as a periscope
Sounds like you're having great fun
I used a telescope once. All i could see was a big black nothingness. Forgot to take the lense cap off :(

i saw venus & jupiter near the moon at about 4.30 with a dead clear sky. tried looking with a pair of field binoculars & they were just bright dots...
Sounds good, If it was me Id look at the sky and hope id see a shooting star :p

Its one of these:

The sky was clear at about 4.30 but then rapidly went wrong. Although it looked failrly clear there was very high altitude that make everything seem out of focus. Only things I could see was Jupiter, Venus and the moon.
Also on a another note for the hippy brigade, they are trying to stop the use of fossil fuels. yet what they cant seem to get into their heads is that if that were to happen then the planet would heat up faster. This is due to the reduction in water vapour emitted into the atmosphere from power stations / plane vapour trails ect..... All of which create clouds that in turn reflect sunlight back into space.
Jobless tree hugging enviromentalists = epic fail
