xe piston rings

just bought new piston rings for my xe.

on the packet it says 86.00

but on the tops of my pistons it says 85.97.

are these the right rings? :confused:


sorry for another silly question but rebuilding xe's are new to me.lol

Pistons will be a smaller diameter than the block. Otherwise the would be an interferance fit lol

I think thats right anyway! If not i'm sure someone will be along to flame me!

sounds like it.
its only 0.03mm away. youl have to check the gaps with the rings in the bores with feeler gauges anyway so you can soon check.

yeah thats correct. bores will be 86mm, and pistons ever so slightly smaller. hence the 85.97mm
