Has anyone done this one their nova? I fancy smoothing over the vents in front of the windscreen. Although i thought that this would stop fresh air coming into the cabin?
Any thoughts?

I think it will stop fresh air getting in. The heater is under the black plastic cover, so at a guess the vents are needed. Not sure if anyone has done this. Might be abit of a ballache TBH.
This has been asked before, If you smooth them you will only get nasty engine air, Dont bother IMO

I Have done this on my nova that av just been building
its not a problem but you do have to re direct the air flow up into the fan
Just cut a hole in the firewall and connect a pipe up near the front grill

If i was doing it i would fibre glass up the vents then filler. Welding a panel will probably distort the metal as it is very thin.
there's a belgium nova who closed them, and put the blitz from the opel logo in them. dont have any pics, but it looked good.
I've smoothed mine on my saloon and it drams in air through the water outlets belind the front wings, I tested it when it was first done and it doesn't seen to struggle with air flow as mentioned above
