lost no claims?

Is it true you can lose your no claims discount if you dont have insurance for a year or so?

I sold my car and cancelled my insurance about 6 months ago, when I cancelled I had 3 years no claims and I dont want to lose that.

Also, since I have a garaged car can I insure it on a garage/storage policy type deal and still build no claims?

Yes, some companies its 6months, others its 2years.

Any insurance company will accept your NCB as long as it's within the 2 year period.
