what a load of crap :(

my ebay acount and a friends ebay acount were both suspended today with absolutely no reason.

i have 216 feedback 100% and my mate has like 40 odd and 100%.

i am (well was) genuinely selling my mazda RX7 engine on there. and my mate had a co2 bottle with nitrous express remote opener, a c20let downpipe and a astra gsi grill.

bearing in mind we dont mess people around on there and have decent feedback there is no reason at all for them to have suspended us. this is the e-mail we both got.

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely due to concerns we have for the safety of the eBay community.

Why have we suspended your account?

From experience we know that certain items and actions are more closely associated with fraudulent activity on eBay than others. Under the eBay User Agreement we may suspend an account if we believe that the user may cause eBay or another eBay user financial loss or legal liabilities. You can read the User Agreement by copying this link into a new browser window:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/user-agreement.html

You are prohibited from using eBay in any way, including registering new accounts. We have ended any open listings that you may have had.

Please be advised that this suspension does not relieve you of your obligation to pay any fees that you may owe to eBay.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

Shill bidding....

Is that what i have come to know as ghost bidding, where a mate bids on your items to up the price some poor bugger has to pay for your crock of poo?

shill bidding is a big no no lol, my bro n my cousin used to do it and got busted lol which messed up my bro's massive feedback lol (had to start again) so i know for a fact this has not been done.

my item was buy it now or best offer only so cant shill bid that and kurt only had 1 bid on his co2 bottle.

stolen good lol cant see why on my part as i included many photos of the engine and all included parts.

which you could clearly see it was a FD3S RX7 engine, loom, the alternator, coil packs, ect ect a brand new rebuild kit, and a set of porting templates i imported from the usa.

its not like a specific setup like this could be stolen with these individual bits. infact some of it was bought through ebay itself and i have the receipt for the rebuild kit and templates.

i dont have a clue why they have done it, bunch of tossers.

Have you responded to them asking why they have done this and what proof they have of anything they may suspect?

Plus "shill bidding" can backfire and you might end up the winning bidder on say, a certain 4x4 of Fail lmaolol

have you logged on two different accounts on the same computer or IP addy

and does your friend shill bid?

because if so they might think that he is usingf your account to bid up his items.

is weird tho.

ask in the ebay forums, always a quick reply and usually helpful

good point, yes we do use the same comp, but 100% we both have never shill bid an item...

Ebay are ****e used to be good buts its gor ridiculos!

Got no time for it anymore its run by ****ers for ****ers! I had a registered business account with paypal and they froze my account under suspicion of money laundering, i had gone through over extended security checks due to sums being transferred, they held my money for 180 days until they lawfully had to return it, customs and excise had no intrest at all as had tax returns, invoices everything required to show the money was legit, completely crippled my finances for 6 months so now dont bother, they basically put me out of business.

I can't see you getting anywhere with this tbh Chris.

As said above, they are a law unto themselves & can do what they please with regard to registered users & their accounts.

Personally I think the world would be a far better place without ebay, it's only a matter of time before they would have ripped you off somehow. The number of threads popping up on forums about ebay ending auctions, closing accounts etc & Paypal hanging onto peoples funds is tbh quite frightening.

I'm sure you could have equal success flogging parts through Pistonheads or classifieds in relevant magazines, without paying fees.
