Last night I was going into the petrol station to pay for my fuel and someone said hello to me. I sort of recognised him (as a scrote from when i was at school) and i said hi and walked on. He asked me whether that was my car and that he liked my under car neons. He then said that my car was being talked about a lot and asked if i had an alarm. I of course said yes, a very good one with two immobilisers.

This has shit me up now becasue i think it wil get broken into now. I wake up every morning and look outside, expecting that my car will have no sound system or anything. It hasn't been touched since i got an alarm, but these people will steal anything! Last time my windscreen, door knobs and hazard swith went missing (and a rose that i had bought for my g/f at the time).
THIEVES ARE SCUM.

get yourself down to halfords and buy one of them car blanket things you stretch over the car to protect it. Not gonna do much to stop them but at least it doesn't stand out so much as being your car :D

it might help - you never know.

or i can install a moat around my house and driveway and have a remotely controlled draw bridge.
I could have sharks in the moat. :)

well yeah you could - and you could also rig up wind powered sun light charged laser cannons, but i don't think you'll do either of them will you.

i think my suggestion was leaning towards the sensible side a little more than that wasn't it :D

do what ive done:
alarm(uve dun)
de lock if you havnt already, makes their job harder
and for the sounds-eg amp,sub-use torque(think that how u spell it)screws,u need a more specialist tool than they would prob have on em to remove it then.
and if its alarmd, what they want is to smash window, grab and then run,so if its bolt down with them screws they wont be able to remove so quickly, and prob go away empty handed if the alarm is whinin outside ur house!

Using different screws/bolts is good, but if you can't see them until you're already 'touching' them it's not good, since they'll just fuck up the rest of the car in anger/frustration before running.

Depending on the set-up of your ice, get some flexible bike-chains (from halfords) and chain the speaker baskets to something. It'll be visible from outside the car, and should prevent them a bit more.

but what could you chain it to?

I'll chain mine to the rollcage.

I don't know, get an eyelet thingy used for securing harnesses welded into the floor? To the steeringwheel?

nova's are hideously easy to break into... quickly and quietly.

as for the SECURITY in big red letters when the face is off - it's only any good to you if you take the face of in future isn't mate :D:D:D

I can't stand thievin' tossers.

There's all sorts of things you could to to discourage, and maybe even stop break ins all together, though the measures (asp. for the latter) are going to be too extreme and therefore inpractical/inconvenient.

Sooner or later you're going to think (well...i won't bother tonight, for whatever reason, and that's when it'll happen!).

Another idea - if you have buckets (fixed ones) you could :

1 - get a block of wood, and knock a load of massive nails into it (straight through).

2- drill a hole through the center of the block.

3 - attach the block of wood to the drivers seat (where your arse would go), fixing it to the seat with a bicycle lock/chain, through the harness slots. i.e. so the nails are all sticking up.

You could modify this to use on different seats.

It'd be good if you could have a nail gun under the seat, with some-kind of remote control. And if your car get's nicked, you get a an alarm call on your mobile and can then remotely trigger the nail gun to repeatedly fire fuckin nails up the cunts arse!

Though you'd be in the shit legally though.
