try getting a pay out when you stack it/it gets nicked... then you will find out why they are so cheap ;)

true. ive been with flux twice in the past.

when someone ran in to the back end of me they gave me my cheque for 400 quid which was fair enough. what they didnt tell me was that i had to still pay off the finance company that they had set up for my monthly payments, soi there goes mt 400 quid cheque down the drain. basically i had to pay the rest of my insurance off to creditors even though i dint have a car or insurance

the last time was the final straw. they set up my insurance policy only for them to cancel it 2 weeks later due to them not being able to insure me due to a ban and i had to pay a cancelation fee aswell of 130 quid. WTF is that about, why set up a policy in the first place then?????

crowd of con artists if you ask me

I've also had problems with adrian flux and ended up cancelling my policy with them. I wouldnt recommend them.

+1 Been with them for the last 4 or so years. Never bothered with AF TBH. Seem abit highly priced with their quotes.

They have performance nova group already in their
-are you a member of any car clubs.

Mind you thats so they can probably bump the price up a bit.

Adam

I assumed if your in a car club the price goes down???

i got a quote from adrian flux and it was stupidly high

direct line for me, seeing as i did the old trick of being on the parents insurance and getting the one years named driver discount.

just renewed using the discount and me as the first driver it was like 425 im 20, no accidents and a clean licence, and AF was like 800.... with pass plus and club discount...

I have used Flux this time and the customer service has been great this time, far better than when I used to insure with them.

HIC wanted £1600 to insure the LET Nova with no agreed value, I paid £620 with Flux with agreed value.

if adrian flux is so cr*p why does this forum have them as a sponsor? bit silly imo..

Andy
30-11-08, 09:05 PM
They quoted me £500 more than anyone else on my Nova
And as for the club discount.....i dont think they even take it into account

They usually say they have taken it into account already, before they know you are a club member. But then fail to discount any further.

They seem to sponsor nearly all the forums, a ploy to win over some lost customers I expect..

yeah but surely if the admin knows their service is cr*p he would remove them and find a better sponsor?

I think generally, if you return all paperwork ontime, tell the truth when enquiring about a quote (mods) & get any cancellation notifications in on time (so they can't auto renew for you) you should be OK.

However they have pished me off on too many occasions & I wouldnt use them again, no matter how much improved the customer service has become due to the slating they get on all the forums.
Yet I still receive there crappy mag in the post (waste of money & resources) & still get their spammy emails about the calendar girls etc.

Ditto! They are useless *******s..

And I was unlucky enough to be hit at a set of red lights by someone insured with Adrian FUX.. They dragged their feet for months and even tried to make out it was my fault?? lol

Try SKY insurance if you want to insure and engine conversion.

I've been trying to make contact with this club for some time now. My company have insured a handful of your members competitively and have been asked to join up by these members. I've sent a few PM's to admin but haven't had a reply

I'm currently insured through you guys (through another club) and I found your service brilliant! I've been in contact with my policies under-writers too to check a few things and even they were helpful.. Top marks! :thumb:

Just hope you are this good if I ever have to claim :thumb:

A simple price match with FLUX, in most cases is all a new insurer needs to compete with.

The distinct lack of hassle that would become apparent throughout the duration of the policy would make the switch over worth it IMO.

so do you all believe i should look into these hic insurance brokers then

p.s flux asked me if i was a member off any motoring groups so i just said yes and it dropped it a couple of quid so is all this starting a png club with insurance companys discount hassle worth all you time and hard work

I would always choose HIC over Flux - although I've never been covered by the latter as they've never been the cheapest for me, my sister has been and again had service problems with them. HIC however have always had good customer service and were very helpful with any issues I've had. Flux own HIC, but it seems they do still differ in prices a little, and as said the service too.

However, my preferred insurance company is Sky..

...welcome Ollie :D About time you came on here, as I've been banging on about you guys for ages lol

You cover my Celica GT4 (with discount via CCUK) and also the Nova as of last June. Excellent service, and always cheaper than HIC/Flux.

I wonder what the industry stats are for claims by owners club members in comparisson to non-members.

03-12-08, 02:29 PM
Well I just contacted Sky Insurance and went for a quote on my Nova. Declared everything, 5 years no claims protected, Thatchem alarm.

Quote came back and to my surprise was...

... sorry cannot insure you as you are in 1 of 10 postcodes we have down that we cannot cover for you (BD Bradford area).

FAIL for living in BD then  and no 20% discount :cry::cry:

Back to Flux for me then.

Just seen the ad banner for SKY.

Sounds good, too bad I've got 10 months remaining on my current policy, but as said. Hats off to admin/Lee whoever to setting this up & getting the Flux banner off my screen. :thumb:

Flux's price seem to vary a hell of a lot, they'd insure me for £600 for an MR2 turbo but for a 1.4 Toyota corolla it was £1200, odd.

Spoke to Sky before I insured my car and they don't do agreed value which was important for me.
