I did look in Articles but they was only one on how to fit a digi dash.

Remove the old, fit the new.
You might already have the rev counter wire in place, so all should work.
also another question, how hard is it to get the rev meter working?? for a mk1 with no revometer lol
edit: adam is it just that one plug you have to plug in, will this make the dials in the middle of the newer one work?
Just run a single wire from bottom right terminal on the ignition coil to the rev counter
Bmw156 - If your bringing the nova tuesday il point out where :thumb:
From what ive worked out the SPi's come with the rev wire already there.
nice one aw06
and of course im bringing the nova :P im sure the moped wont like going that far
lol didnt know if you had another car :)
1. Remove dial cowling - four star screws, either corner of the cowling.
2. Undo three screws that hold the dial set in (to the sides and top).
c. Tilt the dialset to one side, reach behind and unplug the loom. Unclip the speedo cable (push the tang on the metal clip and pull the cable off).
iv. Remove dialset.
k. Replace with new ones. If you're swapping a dialset like for like (i.e, Mk2 to Mk2 or Mk1 to Mk1) then the plugs will go straight in, although as said you may need to run an extra wire for the rev counter (a 6 face dialset will also need a cable for the oil pressure sensor if your engine has one)
23. Reinsert speedo cable and multi plug. Position dialset and screw into place with the 3 screws.
19. Refit cowling with the 4 star screws.
(a 6 face dialset will also need a cable for the oil pressure sensor if your engine has one)
Should be taped up on the wire that goes to oil pressure switch, Just need to find a Gte or Gsi pressure sender.

Aye the 1.2i engine/loom should just plug and play for everything to work :)
Watch that petrol gauge though
I've had 3 sets of clocks in mine already and the petrol gauge has went off the scale on them all - But with the standard clocks it works fine...
^^^For that one vaughan you need to strip the clocks and swap the resistor on the back of the fuel guage unit, either from the oe clocks fuel guage or the temp guage iirc!

You could well be a life saver mate as I have the GSi clocks there and the OE ones could be stripped anytime
Is this a guarantee to work as your not the 1st person to tell me that :)

Ah forgot to update you on that! SRI Fuel gauge and resistor from the standard clocks and mine works a dream.
