Probably not what you are wanting to hear, but Calibra front seats are pretty pants, not very supportive at all. Best try and get Cav leather.

Really? what about the fact the nova subframe is narrower at the front than the calibra seat? Weld what?

If you have the seats already, offer up the subframe to the underside of the seat and see what needs doing.
I have had a look,i was wondering how you get over the rear bracket problem

Cant because cavs are 5dr so have no tilt mechanism for the front seats....
I agree though, there nice seats, but completely flat(not bucketed), so have you sliding all over them if you actually use the car properly.
They arent as bucketed as cavs but certainly not flat,if i want to drive the car properly it would be on a track in any case, with some proper seats in.
Anyways anybody actually know how this is done?
there is a guide by srimon search the forum
was a lomg time ago front part of subframe bolted to cally seat think we had to grind a little away
for the rear a bracket was cut off the cally subframe anshortened then welded to nova subframe its easy when you put the subframes again the seats all becomes clear
Thanks mate, i get what you mean.Have some +rep

I found Cally seats OK & actually of the same type as reg GM/Recaro efforts. Just some minor shape differences that look more pronounced than it actually is.
They are recaros anyway, theres a label stuck underneath.
thanks for the + rep
heres the guide you needhttp://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42307
used cable ties instead of garden wire
if i remember correcr the front subframe has a pair of thin but really long bolts that hold the nova seat too it we had to gring away some of the metal the bolt goes through then the sub frame slotted into the cally seat as if it was meant to fit
At the back you mean? Yeah i had a brief look earlier i was thinking of grinding a slot in that thin part to slot the cally bracket into then weld all around it,then obv bolt to the leather seat, does this sound right? the front bracket-do you have to space out one side to centralise the seat onto the nova frame? it looked right when i offered it up like that.
cable ties under the rear bench yes
i think we ground some metal away either side of the tube that the bolt goes through to make it central it was years ago though
i dont rember having to space it out
I've never seen the big draw with Calibra leather TBH, cheap hide, flat as a park bench and don't even look nice (IMO)
