A 60mm drop on what though?
Base model or Sr/SRi/GTE etc???
Either way, I would say not really, although it may depend on what brand you choose to go with.

i was down 80/100 and even that didnt catch apart from the odd speedbump. 60mm will be fine...
As above 60mm lowering kit should be ok.

Mines is down 60mm all round on G-Max springs and shocks and its fine out on the road
This place is littered with speedbumps and it managed them fine - All be it, a wee bit hard over them but apart from that lol
Its fine!
omg with a 60mm drop your be fine. i dont know how low my old one is but it was fine everywhere, and as you can see it was way more then a 60mm drop

I had mine dropped 60mm, was abit harsh on certain bumps, pot holes etc, but great on the back roads!

cheers for this guys looks like the nova is going to be dropped 60mm soon then as i was looking at 40 kits thinking they would be better for everyday use
Dont buy just the springs tho, get a kit including the shocks.

Good point. Although can you buy just 60mm springs? You would need to change the shocks as the originals will be too tall??
60mm on 16s. This was on standard shocks

Aye I think 40mm is OK on standard shocks but any more you need to have shortened ones ?
Because it puts a lot of strain on the shocks if its lower than 40 and there standard height...
I think thats what the score is anyway

muzzy's nova looks pretty tidy!
She is long gone, that was a year before it got scrapped due to it being owned by utter chavs after me

60mm will be fine mate but it will be alot harsher then a 40mm drop due to the springs needing to be harder/stiffer. Which means in London where theres shhhh loads of speeds bumps and potholed roads bumpier ride over potholes, slow right down for speed bumps, Nova's rattle otherwise it wouldnt be a Nova but expect a bit more. if you dont mind that sorta thing then go for it.
Handling will be much better though.
Maybe some arch mods on a 60 drop if the offset isnt the optimum.
Get proper quality springs and shocks dude.
for my 10p's worth - get a full kit - not springs on their own - they'll fall out and you'll experience CRAP handling.
Only issue with dropping 60mm is the camber will be out and you'll go through tyres faster (inner wall on front wheels) - corners really well though...providing youve got the right offset wheels otherwise yo8ure tramlining everywhere!
and for super stiffness - strut brace it and poly bush the suspension...
