well i managed to find my self a good clean and manly genuine vauxhall nova with 44k on the clocks it has been dry stored since 1997 and has a load of service history i brought it of a very nice couple that no longer wanted the car as they are now retired and only need one car its taking me a while to get use to the manual choke but I'm loving the way it handles and the gear change every thing feels tight and new on the car

the only problem with it is a little bit of rust on the rear arch which i will be getting sorted very soon as well as these tiny little bits i can see about to for which i will also get sorted to make sure it dose not become a problem

as for modifications I'm torn between a GTE replica or a Sr replica I'm leaning towards the GTE right now but seems as i will have to wait till i can afford to do any work on it i guess it dose not matter for the moment

so here are some pictures of it let me know what you think and what you think i should do GTE OR SR REPLICA

what i was also thinking was i like the retro look of the dash with the cassette player so i might put a cd player in the glove box with a cd changer in the boot with a remote control just to retain the retro looks of it all

right small update i was thinking about what i should be with my interior seat wise i was thinking along the lines of rs turbo front seats and gsi rear seats and door cards but i have just remembered my brother still has his seats from the fiat chiq sporting he crashed so i had a look and they should fit the rear and fronts so now i need to find a set of black door cards to match the seats

also i have my brother out side cleaning the car or detailing it in his words its coming up really good he has snow-foamed clayed waxed and polished it you can see your reflection in the paint work I'm impressed with it i will get some pictures up of it but they don't really do it justice

looks clean as, just a bit of crusting on the near side rear arch from what i can notice, and tiny bit starting on the turret seam, by the alarm.
i was gonna mention the rocker cover, but u spotted it allready.
front seats are nice and grandad lol

yer i have notice that bit of rust just starting but im going to wire brush and rust eater it all before it becomes a real problem i think the rear arch will not be able to be repaired now so i will have to get that all repaired :(

if i deal with all the bit of rust now i will never have to do it again whill i have the car wich would be nice

the latest buy was this
http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/turbojolt/100_0436.jpg

only cost a tenner and along with a new rotor arm and dizzy cap and also adjusting the ignition timing it runs like a dream

hopefully it works until i can get the money to replace the engine with a 1.4 or maybe 1.6 carb engine

edit...

i also managed to flip the rocker cover so its now on the right way around which is nice
