Would these be ok or does it really need to be 45's?
Only reason i ask is there are loads of 40's about compared to 45's.

Yeah it can be done, and it will run fine, but you wont get good power gain's. 45's are better suited to the engine.
If I had a choice between running standard injection or 40's on an XE, tbh i'd just stick with the standard injection, as the fuel consumption on the 40's won't warrent the power increase.

Personally I wouldnt.
Good for mid range toqure tho. But can run out of puff to end.

No point really, 45s are more than man enough for the job - Look at TB's they are all 45mm!

I have a set of Weber 48's on my XE with Weber Alpha ignition
Engine coming out a week on Saturday then they will be for sale.
Pair of Carbs, Weber Alpha ignition, inlet manifold, throttle linkage, coil pack etc
