View Full Version : Squeaking heaters
Everytime i turn on my heaters to i.e demist windscreen it squeaks and wont stop, does this mean i need a new heter matrix?

no mate mine done that bit of wd40 last night did the trick lol
It will be the fan.
Try to get some oil on the bearings. I would recommend aainst using WD40 as it will stink the cabin out for days afterwards. Apply proper bearing oil direct to the bearings.

AMEN to that, i wd40'd mine. And then had a 60mile drive the next day, the smell through the blowers was bad, so tried some air fresher spray, which combined with the wd40 made me feel sick.
I ended up binning the heater and fitting another lol
It did stop the squeaking tho lol

I imagine the trick is to get the oil/WD on the central spindle of the motor bearing & not fook loads of it all around the blower & air intake.
A drop or 2 should do the trick, not pints of it!
