Dave mate you really should leave a gsi standard, but knowing that you'll probably do it anyway speak to coline smith he had some custom nova 16v exhausts, same as what mines got.

Or ashley do special manifolds for the 16v engines that mean you can use your current exhaust.

Whatever option you take you will probably have to do some cutting/welding. Might be worth while contaction colin smith to see what he has broken recently. I get a stainless magnex system that was ready to go straight on. Saved me loads of time and work!

personally i'd go for a custom system, its may be more but you'll get exactly what you want...

ashley XE Nova manifold around £150ish and ashley system again around £200 i think.

Or look second hand, or just have your xe manifold mated to the system for around £30.

John Ashley is the best bet for a decent cheap system, although this is a custom job

well iv kept the full magnex s/s system from my old sr, with 2" bore but it was way too loud even on the 1.4, hate to imagine what it would be like on a 2.0!

thanks for the help so far !

That will more than likely be the back box, I had a magnex s/s system on my old 1600 with the magnex 4 branch and it was dead quiet! lol

I bought an Ashley Kit for my nova xe. It's a 2 box system that basically you weld together yourself from the down pipes back. Cost me £120 and I specified what bore I wanted

Thats pretty good mate. Do you know if they do a kit for the LET? Any website I can look at. My neighbour is a welder. will be a doddle for him to zap some weld onto it.

I'd imagine they do mate. With an LET though you'd probably be running with just a single box? Yeah, they've got a website but they didn't list the system I've got on the site so if you want something specific give them a ring

Remember to specify that you want a kit not a complete system

This is what I received within a couple of days from ordering

Comes with the hangers to weld on aswell. No fancy tail pipe but I'm interested more in having a decent flowing exhaust than a shiny tail pipe

Any chance of giving me the site address?

I'd assume they'd do a LET kit as it would be the same form as the XE pipes but 2.5''.

When you say single box, as in just a single middle silencer? Or single middle silencer + back box?

I'd probably wanna go for a rear box too but the cost of this system is very good so I could always get a custom rear box done. I just dont want the car to be loud, as the louder it is the more attetion it attracts and you can never give it some beans without a whole load of noise.

Single box I meant just back box.

Ashley aren't known for being.... subtle when it comes to noise

Mine is a 2 1/2 inch system for a nova. The reason I went for the kit was because of the dia. He said if he pre-made it it could knock. He'd only fit it on the car at the workshop(not an option due to location) or send it in kit form so I can line everything up,tack it then weld it up. Good saving on price to. I think if I went there to have it fitted it would have been £250

Heres the site address - www.google.co.uk (http://www.google.co.uk)

Nearly forgot, Ashley don't include the mating flange from the down pipe to the system. I'm using a BTB manifold so I had to order mine from there due to the dia.

One of these bad boys -

Cool mate thanks for the site and the info. Will have a look.

Seeing as its a 2.5'' then this would be fine for a LET aswell so all the better (Im open to discussion on this matter).

Like you said it sounds like a good idea to go for the kit as I can set it up spot on and get my neighbour to weld it in place. Wanna get it done properly without having to go back and fourth to get someone to sort it.

If the kit only comes with a back box what effect, if any, will there be if I get a custom centre box made up? Will it reduce power? Noise is a somewhat important issue for me. I currently have a sportex back box on an otherwise standard 1.2 system and I feel its too loud. lol
