Bulkhead

Do you need the top part of the bulkhead? It may seem stupid but I have no blower, wiper or battery there any more and the scuttle panels smoothed off. I saw a nova turbo without one and just wanted to know if you need it or not. The engine bay is seam weld and plated and it has a strut brace. Would it fail an Mot?



The bit I mean is the top 6 inches that joins the rest of the bulkhead where the wiper is bolt to.

depends if it's structural

I don't know if it is structural, I top part where the battery sits behind and the wiper is bolted to it. It's only about 6 inches high.

I thought it was there to protect the battery/blower/wipers from water etc coming up off the road. I too don't know if it's vital to pass an MOT.

If it's not structural and I don't have a battery, blower or the wiper there any more, I will take it off.

i binned my blower ages ago... excess weight

It's all sorted, I removed it today. I have no blower!

Austin is that ur shed??? u could have at least bought a new battery.... and what are those bars for.... it don't have a cage or anything!!
