sorry to be a pest...
with rear discs ive read how to do it and im half way through doing it but just not sure which breaks to get from the scrappy. ive seen on my mates astra sport that his hand brake lever for the shoes comes out the top of the back plate but on normal cav/astra rear brakes the lever comes out the bottom. does this matter where the lever comes out of as to which 1 to get as all the ones in the scrap yard have the lever coming out the bottom??

Erm astra stuff should all be at the top.
You also want the smallest piston in the calipar, on the sides its marked with a 33,35,40. You want 33 if poss.

ah right, so as long as i get an astra set up ill be ok??
so if i cant get an astra set up could i get a cav 1 and swap left side to right and right to left so the lever comes out the top or would this mess the braking up?

Depends wot astra sport it is, if its a 1.8/2.0 it has the bigger rear brake setup which is the same as a astra gsi

its a 1.8
so if i cant find astra rear brakes could i use cav ones but swap the sides to make the lever be at the top or is it ok for the lever to be at the bottom?
