View Full Version : what can cause the water bottle to pressurise

right i just done the head gasket on the lancia and it is still pressurising. head was skimmed and pressure tested and was fine. it the 1.6i turbo. any help greatly appreciated as am starting to lose the head with it now :(

you mean it builds up pressure in the header tank when it gets hot? its supposed to

its building up too much pressure and now the water pump is leaking quite badly

is the system fully bled? and what lancia is it?

thermostat stuck? rad blocked? coolant piping wrong? water pump faulty i.e leaking or not driving water round engine?

system was fully bled and its the delta

removed the thermostat and still doing the same, radiator not blocked and all pipes checked and in the right place. water pump is the next thing i will check. only thing is in the autodata says it 2.3 hours to remove :(
